SUMMARY:Bag Toss (Singles) 2026 (POSTPONED)
DESCRIPTION:(This event runs at the same time as our Basketball Shooting Ev
 ent. Same Venue so Sign up for both!)
 Format: Free Throw Shooting\, Spot
  Field Shooting and Timed Field Shooting
 
 Bags and boards shall be pro
 vided.
 This is a single elimination tournament
 Match is awarded based 
 on best 2 out of 3 games.
 Each game is played in a maximum of 8 frames o
 r the first person to score 21 points\, whichever comes first. 
 A singl
 e coin toss will determine choice of throwing side\, who throws first and 
 choice of bag color. 
 
 The winner of the coin toss is considered Play
 er A and chooses their side and bag color to begin Game 1
 Player B will 
 throw first in Game 2. Player A will throw first in Game 3\, if needed.
 
 
 Players will compete with the same color bags on the same side of the b
 oard for all 3 games in the match
 If the score is tied after 8 frames\, 
 one additional frame will be played as many times as necessary to determin
 e a match winner.
 
  
 Sport Rules:
 
  For men 70+ and all women\,
  the boards shall be measured to be 20’ apart (front of board to front o
 f board). For men 50 – 69\, the boards shall be measured to be 24’ apa
 rt (front of board to front of board).
  1 point shall be awarded per bag
  on the board. 3 points for every bag that is thrown or knocked into the h
 ole. 
  A bag that comes into contact with the ground before the board i
 s not a legal throw and will be removed from play and point consideration.
  A bag that is touching the ground while also sitting on the board will al
 so be removed from play and point consideration. A bag must completely cle
 ar the hole to be in the hole. A bag hanging partially in the hole is a ba
 g on board\, not in the hole.
  All bags are scored depending on where th
 ey are after all 8 bags have been thrown. Sometimes\, the bags are pushed 
 off the boards or slide into the hole after they are thrown. Scoring is ca
 lculated on the final spot of the bags whether it be on the board or in th
 e hole.
  The line extending parallel to the front of the board is consid
 ered the foul line. The following actions shall be considered fouls
 
 T
 hrower stepping on or over the foul line.
 Thrower throws out of turn
 W
 hen alternating turns\, a player tosses his/her bag before the previously 
 thrown bag comes to rest on the board.
 
 
 
 
  The following penalt
 ies shall be assessed for fouls:
 
 
 One foul: verbal warning 
 Subs
 equent fouls after warning: Loss of turn\, bag is removed from that frame
 ’s scoring.
 
  
 NOTE: Final rules will be posted at the event. Mod
 ifications may include drawing for by when there is an uneven number of pl
 ayers in an age group.
